With a new focus on wellness, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore has created healthy and delicious wellness menus to encourage guests to eat healthy, even while away from home.
Apart from a state-of-the-art gym (that’s open 24-hours for the jet-lagged or night owls), and new fitness activities such as yoga and AquaSpin, the hotel has seamlessly integrated healthy dining options into the menus at The Line, The Waterfall, In-Room Dining, and by the poolside.
Wellness A La Carte at The Line
Adding to the extensive buffet at The Line, Chef de Cuisine Vincent Wong presents a new Eat Well ala carte menu which will be available from 1 July 2017. In collaboration with expert nutritionists from Fresh Start, each item on the menu has been carefully crafted to offer meals that are balanced and contain nutrient-dense whole foods to promote multiple health benefits. The menu features immune-boosting superfoods, and sustainable ingredients which incorporate organic eggs, hormone- and antibiotic-free chicken and grass-fed meat.
Highlights include Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Bowl – rich in anti-cancer, anti-oxidant and sulphur-containing compounds; Rainbow Trout and Wild Seaweed Salad with mineral-rich seaweed that is high in iodine which supports thyroid health and a healthy metabolism; Warm Kale Salad – packed with vitamins A, C, K, calcium, and kale which supports bone health; and Tomato Consommé made from Roma tomatoes, arugula, basil and cold-pressed tomato broth.
Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to sample the Superfood Fruit Salad containing seasonal fruit, avocado, pomegranate, chia seeds, homemade granola and dark chocolate sauce; or the signature Dark Chocolate Olive Oil Cake for a healthy, grain-free indulgence.
For a power cleanse or a rejuvenating boost, select from refreshing smoothies and juice blends such as the Berry Antioxidant Blast, Super Immunity Energiser, or the Green Powerhouse.
It’s never too early to embark on a healthy lifestyle, and our children’s menus have been crafted with thoughtful care. Highlights include the Power Mac & Cheese which incorporates cauliflower and butternut squash into the cheddar cheese; dairy-free Salmon Teriyaki with oven-baked salmon with quinoa; the Vegetable Rice Bowl made from chicken, seasonal vegetable, brown rice and soy sesame sauce; and the Brownie Surprise with hidden spinach and carrot puree.
Dishes on the Wellness Menu are conveniently accessible across the hotel, so you can get your fix within the comforts of your room or even call for it by the pool after a swim.

This new culinary gift shop offers Singapore delicacies and signature ShopHouse gifts and products. Breads and pastries are preservative-free and baked daily to ensure optimal freshness and flavour. To satisfy the diverse needs of guests, healthy retail options include Organic Chia Seeds, Freeze-dried Acai Power or Goji Berry Powder; and freshly-made salads.
The Waterfall offers authentic Southern Italian cuisine made of the freshest seafood and seasonal produce. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can be certain to find tasty and nutritious options that suit your taste buds.
For breakfast, the Wellness Station offers dairy-free milk, Mix Fruit Parfait, Chia Rice Pudding, Vegetable Frittatas, healthy muffins and pastries like Corn Bread, Sweet Potato or Pumpkin-spiced Corn Muffins. For lunch and dinner, guests can select from gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
The wellness menu at The Line carries through to the In-room dining menu, with additional healthy breakfast options such as the Power Breakfast Bowl – wholegrain congee packed with super-food vegetables and protein, and Coconut Cinnamon Steel-cut Oatmeal which is naturally sweetened with dates and spices.
The Minibars in all rooms also come stocked with premium wellness options with just the right balance of taste and nutrition. Besides sparkling water and soft drinks, guests can enjoy Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, and Mango Juice; and a curated selection of healthy snacks.
